BBC as of 30th November 2012 was effectively shut down BBC Entertainment in India, this was due to the delay of digitization of cable in India which meant the carriage cost for BBC entertainment was simply to high . Also since digitization was only made compulsory in the 4 major metropolitans and not throughout the country, it was simply no longer viable for BBC, however BBC world news is still airing on Indian TV's. It's sad to see BBC entertainment leave.
The best show on BBC Entertainment had to be Top Gear(UK) & not Top Gear (US) which is just plain awful. The antics & stuff which Jeremy Clarkson and the gang used to get into was simply hilarious. The one episode when they were reviewing the Ford Fiesta, in which they tested to see if it could survive being chased by a Chevy Corvette through a shopping mall at night was incredibly funny. And who could forget the Stig & celebrities who raced on the Top Gear circuit. Well guess Indian fans will have to find other means to watch the show.
